6-A      Every person who has served as a member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative assembly whether that period is continuous for a period of five years or not due to the dissolution of Legislative assembly or where a member having been elected in a bye-election has not been able to serve for five years will get pension of Rs.20,000 per month.

(w.e.f. 22.04.2016)

            Provided that where a person has served as member of the legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh for a period Exceeding five years, he shall be paid an additional pension of Rs.800 per month for every year in addition to every five years and the term of a member the period of six months or more of the last year shall be deemed to be a full year for the purpose of receiving additional pension.

6-B      There shall be paid a pension of Rs.18,000 per month from the date of his death to the spouse, if any, or dependent of a deceased member or former member who was entitled to pension under sub-section (1) of section 6-A.

Family pension will be given every month which is admissible to a government servant in the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (pension) Rules, 1976.

Provided that Rs.500  per month shall be added per year in family pension.

6-C      Every person who is entitled to pension under section 6-A shall also be given medical allowance of Rs. 15000 per month and free of cost medical treatment in the hospitals run by the state government.

RAIL TRAVEL COUPONS FOE EX-MEMBERS OF MADHYA PRADESH LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY

3.                  From 22.04.2016 every person entitled to pension shall be provided Railway Coupons which shall entitle him to travel by first class or by second class air conditioned sleeper coach with the spouse or an attendant.

(a)                            Within the state without any restriction.

(b)                           Outside the state only to extent of four thousand Kms. Per financial year.
